About The Course
After we both became pregnant with our first babies, we were shocked to discover so much missing information at our prenatal appointments. We were left to do a ton of research on our own which many Mamas don't have time for. So it's our goal to be your short cut to a healthier pregnancy and to help you grow a happy healthy baby! In this course we pull information from our real life experiences, health education books, our integrative health practitioner background, and our dental hygiene knowledge to bring you the best comprehensive holistic pregnancy course around. We will cover lot of useful information that you can put to good use right away! We found it best to break this course up into trimesters because each trimester has its own unique needs and decisions to be made. This course will cover nutrition, lab testing, safe supplementation, and so much more. After you complete this course we hope you feel empowered to truly take charge of your pregnancy!!
Safe Supplementation
In this course you will learn what to look for when shopping for supplements. This is very important considering supplements are not regulated here in the USA so quality is key. You will also learn which supplements are safe to use during pregnancy and why they are truly necessary. Many years ago when the soil was full of nutrients our food was more nutritious so supplementation may not have been necessary but that is far from the truth today. So we are here to help you combat that to make sure you and baby are getting all the nutrients you need!
Real Food For Pregnancy
Food truly is medicine and there are specific foods necessary for a healthy pregnancy. There are also foods that should be avoided during pregnancy for the safety of both Mama and Baby. During this portion of the course you will also learn how to create more balanced meals to help prevent gestational diabetes. We also will bust some myths around pregnancy foods that are routinely recommended by healthcare providers and why you should do things differently!
Pregnancy Lab Testing
This portion of the course is designed to help you discover the many choices you have around lab testing during your pregnancy. Learn about the risks and benefits of each routine lab test so you can decide which labs are a good fit for you. We also discuss additional labs that are important to request from your healthcare provider that will not typically be offered to you. This section also goes into details about natural miscarriage prevention and at home functional medicine lab tests that you can complete to take your pregnancy to the next level of health!
